COMPANY INFORMATION
Houston County boasts the proud heritage of becoming the first county of the Republic of Texas in 1837. The city of Crockett was selected as the county seat and the town was named for the Tennessee Scout, David Crockett, who camped near the area enroute to the Alamo. Aldrich Abstract Company was founded by A.A. Aldrich and George W. Crook in the 1890s, and has been serving Houston County for over 100 years. Aldrich Abstract has remained in the Aldrich family through the years and current owner, R.C. (Chris) von Doenhoff, is the great grandson of A.A. Aldrich. Not only is Chris the attorney for the firm but he currently serves as the County Judge. Chris began running Aldrich Abstract in 1970. The Vice-President is Mrs. Faye Allen who has worked for the company for 44 years. Mrs. Allen was recently awarded a Professional Excellence Award for Outstanding Escrow Personnel by the Texas Land Title Association. Aldrich Abstract's outstanding staff members offer years of knowledge and experience in the abstract and title business and you will be treated in a friendly and courteous manner.
